  Iva Mae Gilbert, daughter of the late James and Mary Collins, was born at Pomona, Missouri, June 10th, 1898.  Entered into eternal rest April 8th, 1978, at the age of seventy-nine years.
  On November 22nd, 1914, Mrs. Gilbert was married at Pomona, Missouri, to Willis Gilbert, who preceded her in death, July 17th, 1977.
  Survivng are three daughters and two sons, Mrs. Dale (Marie) Wood, West Plains, Missouri, Mrs. Fred (Lillian) Roberts, Nyssa, Oregon, Mrs. Neal (Marylin) Thornton, Raytown, Missouri, and Dale Gilbert, Kansas City, Missouri, Edmund Gilbert, West Plains, Missouri.  There are twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one brother and three sisters surviving, who are David Collins, Berkley, Missouri, Celia Whelihan, Shawnee Mission, Kansas, Zella Tunning, West Plains, Missouri, and Vera Fox, Brooking, Oregon.
  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters, three sons, one brother and one sister.
  Mrs. Gilbert was a member of the Pilot Knob Chapter No. 540 of the Order of the Eastern Star at Dora, Missouri for twenty-five years.  She had been a member of the Church of Christ for the past twenty-five years, her present membership being in the South Curry Street Church of Christ, West Plains.

Iva M. Giblert services held

  Funeral services for Iva Mae Gilbert of West Plains were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains, with evangelist Laverne Stewart officiating.
  Mrs. Gilbert died Saturday in West Plains Memorial Hospital.
  Pallbearers were: George Collins, Henry Collins, Russell Wood, Ray Lovan, James Henry and Bill Collins.
  Persons attending from out of the area included Mr. and Mrs. Dale Gilbert and daughter, Kansas City; Mr. and Mrs. Neal Thornton, Raytown; Vera Fox, Brookings, Ore.; David Gilbert, Steve Gilbert, Omaha, Neb.; Celia Whelihan, Shawnee Mission, Kans.; Lorene Weaver, Kansas City, Kan.; Wova Harris, Shawnee Mission, Kan.; David Collins Berkely, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Thornton and son, St. Charles; and Howard Collins of Peoria.
  Interment was in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funerl Home of West Plains.
