Mrs. Nancy Gunter, Ill 4 Months, Dies

Dora Woman was Mother of Fred Gunter and Mrs. Clara Russell of West Plains. Funeral Services Sunday

Mrs. Nancy Minerva Gunter, 64, widow of the late W. W. Gunter, died at her home near Dora at 7:15 o'clock Wednesday night following an illness of four months due to a heart ailment with complications. She was brought home only four weeks ago from Springfield, where she recently underwent an operation for removal of one of her feet, the operation having been necessary because of a gangrenous condition.

Mrs. Gunter was born, July 11, 1880, in Ozark county, being a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. Collins, well known pioneer residents of Ozark county, where she spent her entire life. She was married to W. W. Gunter more than 47 years ago.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Clara Russell of West Plains, Mrs. Laura Armstrong of Cabool, Mo., Mrs. Lola Daugherty of Bucyrus, Mo.; four sons, Fred Gunter of Wet Plains, B. Gunter, Harley Gunter and Noah Gunter, all of Dora; five brothers Charles and Sherman Collins, both of West Plains, Elza Collins of Dora and Floyd Collins, who resides in Alabama, but who is on his way to Dora today; Truman Collins of Eagle Point, Ore.; Willie Collins of Oklahoma City and one sister, Mrs. Laura Decker, of West Plains. Twenty-two grandchildren also survive.

Mrs. Gunter had been a member of the Holiness church for many years.

Funeral Sunday

The body will lie in state at the Robertson funeral home in West Plains until time for the funeral, which will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Ball church near Dora, with the Rev. Bud Montgomery in charge.

Burial will be in the Parsons cemetery near Dora.
