On Marina's 7th birthday, she transforms into a mermaid. Knowing that the townspeople regard mermaids as creatures that bring bad luck, Esther opts to send Marina to the sea to live a peaceful life with those of her kind. Marina then meets Istah (Sunshine Cruz), the lovely Queen of the sea. Kind and loving, the queen decides to keep Marina and love her as her own child.
