Legacy Mill Projects
I made this cane for my grandfathers Christmas present.

Lacewood with hard maple shaft.
spiral is a 2 start rope using a 1 1/2" rope bit. The cane is 36.5" tall and has a common crutch pad on the bottom.

Here are some pics of  the candlesticks I made.  They are 10" tall with a 3" diam. base. They feature a 3"pitch 2 start barley twist one is lefthand spiral and the other is righthanded Think they really came out nice.
The grain of the lacewood does really well when making spirals
In this picture you can see how the indexin feature allows you to do some neat scalloping
DIGITAL READOUT
Here is an cheap mod that will increase the functionality of your Leagacy Ornamental Mill. For about $25 I was able to add this Digital caliper to measure cut depth
The upper and lower mounting block are made of UHMW plastic. It was milled out to fit the caliper using the Legacy freehand and following a scribe line of the calipers shape. It took about 1 hour to figure out and make.

Below you can see how I mounted the block. I drilled a 5/16" hole in the cast portion of the handle and the block. I used shims made of tape and a 5/16" bolt to hold it all together. The shims allowed me to plumb the caliper shaft to the router guide post.
The lower mount is also made of UHMW plastic and is simply screwed to the aluminum plate from below with smallmachine screws

This was an easy project and once I add a router raiser. It will be more precise than ever
