JMT 8 + 66

J 86372 + J 46631

J 86372, when delivered, was the highest-numbered bus in the fleet at the time of delivery in summer 1997, as well as having the highest registration number then assigned to a bus. It is seen following inspecttion, but before entering service, alongside J 46631 at the rear of the Weighbridge bus station. When JMT's first Darts (of which number 8 was one) arrived three years earlier, notices were put in the cabs to warn drivers not to park them at the back of the yard, for fear of the sumps grounding out on the high kerb - remembering that these were the first rear-engined buses to be operated in Jersey.
