The Toyota Coaster with Caetano Optimo coachwork is a neat little package which falls well
within Jersey's tight size restrictions. There are however only two examples on the island,
both belonging to Pioneer and having been bought secondhand from the UK. This 22-seater is the
second and is seen in 1999 near Pioneer's La Collette depot. Its livery is believed to be that
of its former owner with Pioneer's logo applied. The fenced-off area in the
background is now a compound for laid-up boats, but previously was home to a collection of old
trucks and coaches. Caetano now own what was UVG and originally Wadham Stringer, whose
bodywork is particularly common in Jersey.
