    Marikina has a new venue for arts and cultural exhibitions - Teatro Marikina. Teatro Marikina is an impressive structure located at Shoe Ave. San Roque Marikina City. Built and operated in December 2002, Teatro Marikina is a manifestation of the city’s commitment to the development of culture and the arts.

  • OLA CHURCH

    The Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of the Abandoned, also known as Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados or Ina ng mga Walang Mag-Ampon, Marikina City, is a Roman Catholic church and the home of an image of the Virgin Mary venerated locally, which has received Papal recognition.

The site where the Marikina Zonta Club built the Roman Garden in 1998 is believed to be the spot where the icon of Jesus was seen.     The first shoe lasts which Kapitan Moy imported from Barcelona were too pointed so they were remodeled. When Kapitan Moy died, he left Marikina a legacy, a source of livelihood for its people. Thus shoes were made in the silong (basements) of the houses or in kubos (huts) near the living quarters.

    The Marikina Freedom Park is located in front of the Marikina City Hall. You’ll see a lot of people sitting on the benches along the side of park. People tend to go here to unwind even during mid day because the park is covered by trees which makes the surroundings cool.

    The Shoe Museum is deftly organized into the following collections: that of the world reknowned shoes of former Philippine First Lady, Imelda Marcos; assortment of shoes worn by personages.

  • MARIKINA HOTEL

    The Marikina Hotel is a budget-friendly hotel that provides a base for visiting the shoe capital of the Philippines. The Marikina Convention Centre is beside the property. The hotel is near interesting attractions like the Shoe Museum which houses the shoes of Philippine presidents, world leaders and celebrities as well as some of the famed collection of Imelda Marcos.

  • AMPHITEAHER

    The curvature of the Marikina River caused the nearby slopes' shape to appear as a huge semi-circle, similar to that of an amphitheater. This is why it's been coined the Marikina Riverbanks Ampitheater.

  • SPORTS COMPLEX

    Marikina Sports Park established in 1969 and then known as the Rodriguez Sports Center, the property was bought from the provincial Government of Rizal in 1995. It is also one of the premier sports complex established in the Philippines. It is now a popular venue for national, regional and international sports competitions and other sports and entertainment events, such as the 2005 Southeast Asian Games. Inside the sports park includes the bronze statues of different Olympic sports, Olympic-size oval and swimming pool, boxing, tennis, table tennis, taekwondo, aerobics arena and others.
