This page asks you to select the calculator and type for converting the selected file to.
This page will appear when you select to convert a calculator file.
For the calculator, you have two options - HP38G and HP39G or HP40G. The HP39G and 40G
share the same file format.
For the type, you must choose between note, program and aplet. You can only create default aplet types. Please see the further limitations listed below.
Note that the options available for aplets vary depending upon which calculator you select.
You can see what the type is of the file you selected to convert in the text box above the options.
Limitations of NoteMaker Conversions
There are a few limitations you must be aware of when using the conversion options.
Note that NoteMaker will only convert the following items:
- Title of the object
- Text of the object (the note or the program code, depending upon the type)
- Sketches (if both the source and destination types are aplets
The following caveats apply:
- Aplets will lose any custom views or attached programs.
- Specially coded aplets (such as games) will not work.
- If you convert a program to any other type, you will no longer be able to run it. Note that converting a program to an aplet does not compile it!
- You may experience some incorrect conversions if you convert special characters between calculators.
Use the program ApletConvertor (available from HP Home View) (Windows only)
to convert more complicated aplets.
Once you have selected the calculator and type, click Next to proceed to the Select a File page.
