Comic Book Confidential (1988)
mini-review

Comic Book Confidential is a fascinating foray into the rich history of the comic book. This documentary takes a look at both the mainstream and underground comics world from it's onset to the current day. See icons from Jack Kirby and Stan Lee to R. Crumb and Harvey Pekar discuss the history of comics. Along the way meet Frank Miller, Will Eisner, Art Spiegelman, Bill Griffith, and a host of other creators and artists who have contributed to this diverse form of art, while watching the inventive ways this film presents their creations.

While it's not the most riveting documentary I've ever seen, it's extremely well-done and worth watching just for the breadth of talent covered in the whole comic book industry.

See it if you like innovative documentaries, or obviously, if you are a fan of comics.

Don't see it if non-fiction films arent your thing.
