Crumb (1994)
mini-review

In Crumb, director Terry Zwigoff gives us a disturbing look at the life and family of one of the most famous underground comic artists: R. Crumb. As fascinating as it is disturbing, this film gives a behind-the-scenes look at Crumb's history and background, along with a look at his sometimes explicit, sometimes offensive comics. It includes sound bites from other artists, such as Spain Rodriguez and Bill Griffiths. Crumb is not officially authorized, probably because it is often too candid.

While it is definitely intriguing, the content of this film (particularly Crumb's comics) drops it directly into the "not for everyone" category.
