B

O Lord, save me from my sin.

A darkness engulfs my heart,
Spreads through my soul like a disease,
Keeping me from Your love.

Pain clenches my heart,
I cannot breathe.
Convicted of my sin,
Yet not penitent,
My heart threatens to stop,
Nausea clenches my stomach.
Disgusted at my own state,
Bile rises in my throat.

My sins threatens to consume me from inside.
Lord, flush the sin from my body.
I am powerless against it,
As it creeps like a shadow,
Wrapping me in its darkness,
Eating away at my soul.
