Follow the links below and join me as we embark on a journey of restoring a car that has remained dormant for at least 14 years.
This car has been SOLD. The car is in Manila, Philippines. I haven't been updating the web-site, but the following is what I've done to it before I sold it.
Since July 1999, I've done the following on the car:
1. Reinstalled the wood dash
2. Installed Power Steering
3. Replaced all four shock absorbers
4. Replaced front sub-frame mounts
5. Installed Blaupunkt Stereo w/ Boston Acoustics Speakers, Antenna
6. Replaced Front Windshield
7. Installed Front seat headrests
8. Installed 3-point retractable seatbelts
9. Installed an electric fuel pump
10. Replaced Rubber flex-disk on the drive shaft
11. Installed 14" Mercedes Benz alloys
12. Tracked down the LTO Registration and License Plates
13. Replaced Rotor, Distributor Cap, and Spark Plug Wires
Why did I sell?
I'm maintaining/restoring three other Mercedes-Benz's right now.
A 1979 350SE, a 1982 230TE, and a 1985 190E 2.3. I don't have the
time and resources to devote to this 280S. Fortunately, there
wass someone out there who is willing to continue the restoration.
