           Always with Us...

          Our Wonderful Lord

How great you are, O Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.
--2 Samuel 7:22 (NIV)

How wonderful is our Lord. He is sovereign and truly there is none like him. We can know his love and feel his Holy Spirit as he speaks to our hearts. He speaks in so many ways that sometimes we fail to recognize. His Word always speaks to our hearts when we have "ears to hear and hearts to receive". Even in the midst of pain and suffering, He is our ever present help and his grace is all-sufficient.

The gentle breeze of the wind carries the very breathe of God as it moves across this World. The falling rain bringing new life to the earth watering God's creation, is like the doctrine of the Lord as it falls. We are told in Deu. 32: 2 that the "doctrine of the Lord shall drop as the rain". His speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass. This is referring to being inspired or inspiration, as 'dropping as the rain' in the prophetic meaning of God's Word. This chapter tells us to publish the name of the Lord, ascribe greatness unto Him who is "The Rock". A God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is He. We serve such a Holy God who is a God of love.

The morning sunshine speaks to us of the warmth of His love and the light he gives in this dark world. His light is eternal and guides us in all our ways. Even the singing
of the birds bring a melody of God's love for his creation. He cares for the little sparrows and cares so much more for his children. He will provide for us as He provides for the sparrows of the air and the flowers of the field.

Every Word within the Holy Writ is truth and life for us. We can take these promises and put them into practice in our lives. He is our Refuge which keeps us safe from all harm.

We along with the Psalmist David can say, "there is none like you O Lord." "We have
heard you with our own ears" and will never be the same again. Just one touch from the Master and our lives are changed for an eternity when we receive Him. He is all we need and we need him in all we undertake to do.

Give thanks unto Him today just for "who He is" in our lives and hearts. He left the splendor of heaven fully knowing his destiny. He left heaven's halls to walk the lonely hill to Golgotha and die for us on Calvary's cross. If that isn't love, then we will never know the true meaning of love. Who else would give this kind of love that we might receive life everlasting? Great is our Lord and wonderful is his name!

Blessings in Christ,
Jo Ann
