GOD IS FOR US

"If God be for us, who can be against us?"
This question in Romans 8 is one which makes us stop and think what is being related to us in this Scripture.  If God is on our side and for us, then who really can be against us?  Our answer would be "the world, flesh, and the devil," which is true, but we then have to consider what this and other Scripture says in regard to the promises of our Lord.

If God is working in our behalf, then who really can be against us in the sense that any scheme would prosper?  We must conclude from Romans chapter eight that we are more than conquerors over all our enemies through Christ Jesus our Lord.  He fights in our battles but the best part is that He has already won the war!  All we have to do is recognize and obey our  Commander In Chief as he leads and directs us.  If we obey God, He will lead us in truth and it is only his truth that makes one really free.

All men are foreordained and determined by God to be called to salvation.  Only the ones who accept become genuine as the "called out ones" who will be justified as his "elect" ....if they obey God's terms of his New Covenant.

Our Lord says nothing shall harm us when we are in His favor.  We receive his power from on high to accomplish the work God desires.  Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect?  It is God that justifies.  Who is he that condemns?  It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. {Rom. 8: 31-34). Nothing shall separate us from the Love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. We can know this love each day as we fellowship with Him.  He is always as close as the mention of his name and his blessings are given to us daily.  Recognizing his presence within and acknowledging his blessings with thanksgiving is true worship unto our Lord and pleasing to Him.  "No weapon formed against us shall prosper" if we remain true to God.

It is good to know we have one who will be closer than a brother..... who will always go the extra mile and be with us until the very end.  Regardless of what we may go through, we have a friend who is with us and One who can never fail us.  Take comfort in the answer to the question presented in this Scripture.  We can know in our hearts that our Redeemer lives and makes intercession for us according to the will of the Father.  Nothing shall in any wise harm us as promised by our Lord, if we abide in Him and his words.

'Hand in Hand with Jesus' we can face today, tomorrow and the promise of all eternity with the Saviour. His promises are the very best for us and his faithfulness is forever.  Blessed be his name!

Blessings in Christ,
