Loving God

Mark 12: 30

We hear so much talk about love today that sometimes it loses the meaning God intends. When we obey the command to love the Lord  our God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength; we can rest assured we know the love of God.  We are also to love our neighbor and do unto others as we would have them do unto us. Love obeys the laws of the Lord.  The attributes of love describe the love of our Lord and is also the love which we are to have in our lives.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; it envieth not; vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, does not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things,
endureth all things.  And, best of all; charity never fails.

Loving God with all our strength means that we will have joy in our lives.  The joy of the Lord is our strength and knowing our Lord will bring this joy into our lives.  He never promised us everything would always be perfect or that we would have everything we wanted.  He did promise that we would be able to give thanks to Him in the midst of all things and be content in whatever situation we are in.  He also promised us he would supply all of our needs according
to his riches in glory, (if)..... we seek Him first and his Kingdom.

Love is the greatest gift of all and no man has ever had a greater love than our Lord.  He gave his  life for us and as the song says, "what more could he give?"  He died that we might live and arose from the dead that we might also be raised one day to live forever.  One perfect plan of our Father.....one perfect Lamb of God who came to earth as one perfect man....Christ Jesus, our Lord and God.  Love never fails.  God is love and will never fail us.  May we seek to be more like Him and have love not only for Him, but for others.
J -Jesus first....
O-Others second.....
Y-Yourself......last.
God will take care of us when we put him first.
His commands are the two simple rules....
love Him first and care for others as yourself.
This equals...J-O-Y in our lives and hearts.
Our love for Him and others must be both in the good and bad times we all go through in life.   Our love must be genuine.  A perfect example of
how we are to love one another is the love between the Father and Son.  As we love one another, we demonstrate the love of Christ and are called his disciples.

Have a joyful week because He lives and His Holy Spirit dwells within to lead and guide. Remember, you are never alone and are loved as only our Heavenly Father can love his children.

Blessings in Christ,

His Love

How does he love us.....can we count the ways?
There are so many blessings he has freely given.
His joy can be ours in all of our days.
He is our life and our reason for living.

We love Him because He first loved us.
And gave his life on Calvary's tree.
The blood he shed was the atonement for our sins.
And because he paid the price,...we can go free.

His love for us is so tender...so true and kind.
There is none other to compare.
May we love him with all our heart, soul, and mind.
With joy we will serve him...as his love we share.
