Rejoicing In His Word

Do we rejoice as the Psalmist David when reading God's Holy Word? There is such joy in each word which declares the wonder of salvation and reveals to us a God who cares for us so much. His ways are not our ways nor his thoughts our thoughts. He  who punished the 'Innocent One' to give life to the guilty is a God who has the greatest love of all.  He gave us a "Book of Love" filled with promises, blessings, commands for a successful life and so much more.

David felt that God's Word was not only light, but a 'delight' and it's wisdom was like wealth to one's soul.  He rejoiced as one who had found great treasure over the words of God.  Within the pages of God's Word are nuggets of truth like unto gold purified by the fire of God.  'Jewels of joy' can be
found in God's Word as we are in his presence.

He has revealed unto us the mysteries which were previously hidden.  The veil was rent in twain that we might now enter the Holy place and be "one new man" in Christ.  We can now enter boldly into his presence and present our petitions and supplications.  Our praise and worship is freely given knowing our sacrifices are pleasing unto Him.

Blessed are those who delight in the law of the Lord and meditate on his 'Testament of Love'.
These do not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful.  They shall be like a tree which is planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season.  His leaf also will not
wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
These are only a few of the promises of the Lord to the righteous which are listed in Psalms One.
Rejoicing in God's Word is a joy for us now but also brings eternal rewards.  The treasures of God await us each time we read the Bible.  God's Word has the greatest riches of all.

Blessings in Christ,

Promise
"For in the time of trouble, he shall hide me in his pavilion; in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock."     Ps. 27:5.

                        Treasures of Truth

The world searches for riches, fortune and fame,
It seems people look in all the wrong places to find,
The treasures of life and love which lasts forever,
One who is faithful, longsuffering and kind.

If you looked the world over from sea to shining sea,
Or climbed every mountain in your goals to attain,
You could never find riches that would be everlasting,
Like the treasures of God's Word which will always remain.

Inside of the pages you can view glimpses of heaven,
And read of God's splendor and majesty to behold,
The precious blood shed when Jesus died on the cross,
Was a treasure of love and the greatest story ever told.

                           RESPECT

What do you derive from the word "respect"?
Lots of meaning and less words to regret?
Life is like a Song,
Floating through the air,
A mixture of 'this and that',
and music every where.
Count your steps and count your miles
And a Word quietly explained,
Helps heal a wound deep down inside,
And spreads life's blessings everywhere.
You can take the word, "respect",
And match it with "love"
Life's tender moments to express,
Sent down from up above.

A Heart full of compassion is the great "I AM".
