God Cares

If God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall He not much more clothe you?  Matt. 6: 30

Each one of us is blessed and have been given a measure of faith by God.  Without faith, we know it is impossible to please the Lord and we must come to Him believing he is a "Rewarder" of those who diligently seek Him.  He desires us to come to Him with our problems as well as with our love and praise.  He is our Father and is there to 'protect, provide, pardon and participate' in every part of our lives as the "First", the "Alpha" and "Great I AM".   He is "Jehovah-Jireh",  "our Provider".  Even this name means, "the Lord will see or provide" as in Gen. 22: 8-14.  As he provided the sacrifice for Abraham and then His perfect Lamb for the whole world, he will also provide for each of us.  The "eyes of the Lord" run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show himself strong in behalf of those whose hearts are perfect toward him. (2 Chro. 16: 9)  We are so very blessed each day that we live.   From the time we wake up in the morning until we lay our head to rest, we are blessed!

We are told to consider the lilies and grass of the field. We are to acknowledge how the Lord cares for them. "To consider" means to 'discern or perceive' in Hebrew meaning and "to experience or acknowledge" in Greek meaning.  We must understand and acknowledge the divine provisions of our Lord as promised if we only put Him first in our lives.

The flowers are clothed with beauty and splendor to blossom and bloom in both color and fragrance.  The grass and green herbs are given and provided for as the Lord gives sun and water to nourish and care for these as they grow and bring forth seed.  The grass was sent by the Lord for the cattle on a thousand hills to provide for them.  Every green herb of the field was given in the beginning to mankind for meat.  God has always provided and will always provide for his own. Considering how the Lord cares for the grass of the field and all his creation, will he not care for us even more than these?

The questions of God's provisions for us were presented as questions to ponder.  We will see when we rightfully divide Scripture how God always provides a way even when there seems to be no way.  David the Psalmist stated it rightfully when he said, "I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. He is ever merciful and lendeth; and his seed is blessed." Ps. 37: 25-26. (KJV)

We should have no anxiety as to being cared for as God has promised to take care of us.  He has proved Himself to us many times and will continue to bless us and provide all our needs according to His riches in glory when we seek Him first and his Kingdom.  He will give us strength and we can stand strong in the power of his might.  What we shall wear or have available for food should not be a worry as God will provide for his own. We are of much value to our Savior.

We can praise God today for the measure of faith He has given each of us.  He will give us peace of mind and heart as we look unto Him for our every need.  He will provide for his own. It is his promise that he will 'keep our hearts in perfect peace if they are fixed upon Him'.  Peace......peace......wonderful peace comes down from the Father above.  Sweep over our spirits......forever we pray, in fathomless billows of love.  What more could we ask for than a mind and heart at rest with our Lord?  Be blessed today and always.

"For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground; I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessings upon thine offspring; and they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses."  (Isa. 44: 4.)

                                           He Cares

Each flower of the field..... clothed with splendor from above,
Is kissed by the sunlight.......sent down by His love,
Every blade of grass that you see along the way,
Is watered by dew from heaven, clothed by God each new day.

Food brought forth...... from the herb bearing plant,
Was given by the Father who provides for this land.
The lilies do not worry, nor do they toil or spin,
The Father cares much more than this... for his created man.

So why should we worry, doubt or fear,
As long as our Father.... is always near.
He provides for his children.......great love He shares,
So why should we worry....when we know our God cares?

                                 God Still Delivers

Proving God's Power
"Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying
and making supplication before his God."  (Daniel 6: 11.)

We have all read of Daniel, the righteous Hebrew, who served God with all his heart and trusted in Him for deliverance.
He prayed three times a day while in Babylonian captivity
in spite of being ordered not to do so by command of the King.
Daniel did not let this petition prevent Him from worshipping God.   He went into his chambers, faced Jerusalem, and made his requests known unto the God of his Fathers in prayer.  The law in those days was that no decree of the Medes or Persians could be altered and no statute which the king established could ever be changed.  Daniel chose to obey God rather than man.

The King was displeased with Daniel and commanded that he be thrown into the lion's den for disobeying the commands which had been made about prayer.  Although the door was shut and sealed to the Lion's den, Daniel had no fear.  He knew the power of His God.  We all know the story of how the King came the next morning and found Daniel "alive and well."   Can't you imagine the look on the King's face?   With a great voice of lamentation, the King spoke unto Daniel and called him a "servant of the living God".  God was recognized as the 'Deliverer of Daniel'.   The Lord had sent his angel and 'shut the lions mouths' so they could not hurt Daniel as he was innocent and also as a witness to the King of God's power.  The King believed on Daniel and his God and released Him.  Those who had accused Him and their families were then cast into the lion's den to be destroyed.   This is an example of how God can take what was meant for harm and turn it into good when we trust Him.  This story of Daniel shows us if we hold fast unto the Lord, He will never fail us.

Just as God 'shut the mouths of the hungry lions', He will shut the doors of opposition and walk with us through the fiery trials. God was also recognized as a God who works 'signs and wonders' in heaven and in earth.  When facing what may seem
like a lion's den, remember the same God who created the lions also tames them.   Satan is as a "roaring lion" seeking whom he may devour.  However, 'greater is He that lives within us than the evil one who is in the world'.  Satan may rage and roar with lies and accusations but God has the final word.  His word will prevail.

There is no danger too great for our 'Deliverer', no trouble 'too terrible' for the 'Triumphant One'.   This same God who proved his power in the Days of Daniel will also prove his power today.
God can still 'shut the mouths of lions' or walk in the midst of a fiery furnace as the 'fourth man in the fire'.  Only trust Him and He will keep in perfect peace all whose minds are stayed on Him.  The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Godly wisdom.
"The fear of man brings a snare but whosoever putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe". (Prov. 29: 25) This is a promise we can always rely on.

May we always stand in "awe" of our Lord and by faith seek to share the righteousness of God in Christ with others. God still moves in the hearts and lives of His children today.  He will prove his power...."over and over again".

Blessings in Christ,

"And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever."
Daniel 12: 3.

"He changes times and seasons; He sets up kings and deposes them.  He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning."
(Daniel 2:21 NIV)

God still delivers and sets souls free.
