Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

       WONDERFUL WORDS-WONDERFUL WORLD
                                         "HEARING"

"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, The LORD is one.
Love The LORD your God with
all your soul and with all your strength.
These commandments that I give you today
are to be upon your hearts."
(Deuteronomy 6:4 NIV)

One of the first things which the Lord told his people was a simple
command to "Hear". The first thing we all must do is simply "hear".
Hearing brings faith and faith comes through listening to God's words.

Hearing must be through the "ears of our heart" and understanding, not  just the physical sense of our natural hearing. Anyone can hear, but to understand as God desires, we must love Him with all our heart, soul and strength. If we en-joy his presence ("in his joy"), we will  experience his strength and help in our lives. He will make us to realize it really is "a wonderful world".

Our Lord God is One, and will have no other gods before Him. The many "little gods" of this world such as pleasures, people, possessions, pride, or passions must not be worshipped. Our heart's passion and soul's desire should be for God and the many blessings of his covenant.

Before we can obey as He desires, we must listen to his words and
honestly hear them. Hearing is receiving them into our hearts. He tells us the commands that he gave are to be "upon our hearts". If we have received the words of life from the Father, they will be engraved upon our hearts. This will prompt us to acknowledge Him in all our ways. He will seal us with his Holy Spirit and write our names in the Lamb's Book of Eternal Life. God's words make life on this earth, "a wonderful life"  when we receive them. Just knowing He is Lord and has redeemed us from the curse of sin and death is good news of the Gospel.

Let his love letter from above be written on the tablet of your heart today. His words are wonderful words of life. His promises and covenant have been signed, sealed, and delivered with the shedding of his blood on Calvary.

As the old hymn states, "when God dips his pen of love in our hearts, he writes our souls a message he wants us to know". There is no other words that can transform and change a soul into the image of his character and attributes.

"Believing is Receiving".............Reach out today, "hear and hold" to every promise He has given. Let these words of life ring out loud and clear today and share them with others. They really are, "beautiful words, wonderful words, wonderful words of life". With Jesus in our life, we too can sing "It's a wonderful world!"

Blessings in Christ,
Jo Ann
