DRUM TATTOOING
What is Drum Tattooing? We've developed a process of adding custom graphics to your drum head we call "Drum Tattooing". We will custom airbrush a design of your choice on your drum head or body using 100% Pure Bombay India ink,  which is light and color fast, extremly durable, and guaranteed to withstand all the intense jamming you can handle. Fully tested at drum circles, these drum tattoos have demonstrated an enduring quality even under sustained, intense workouts.

The SHAMAN DRUM
Pictured here is a 30" Diameter Bodhran with a classic Zuni image depicting the four sacred directions, the four races, and the four seasons.  Rotating around the central image is a representation of the four ages- Infancy, Youth, Middle and Old Age. Also depicted are: The Spiral (eternal renewal), the Bear Claw (good omen), a Step Pattern (Direction & change) and The Rattlesnake Jaw (strength).

CHOOSING YOUR DESIGN
Your drum is your special companion and you need to spend a little time deciding just what  kind of image will best express your personality, and also suit the type of drum you own. Study the history of your drum to learn it's origins and make a wise choice of the artwork you choose. Remember, I will be adding a permanent piece of art to your drum and this is the time to make it all happen.

THE LEGEND
We call this Djembe "The Legend". It is one of the first drums we applied the now infamous "Drum Tattooing" technique we employ. The ink was lovingly applied in May of 2004 in preparation for the
Schwagstock 21 fesival at Zoe near Salem, Missouri. Well into the festival, at the Jammin' Drums booth we had set-up, a full tilt drum circle was in progress when one our devoted fans  came to join in and chose this drum as his preffered percussion instrument. During the intensity of the jamming we happened to notice our friendly dude happened to be missing along with the Djembe. We both knew his unforgettable face and his undeniable state of euphoria and set out to find him and couldn't locate him in the crowd of over 10,000. The very next morning, after printing up a "Wanted Poster" depicting an image of the missing drum, Chickie scoured the entire festival arena letting all she talked to know of the missing drum and it's $50 reward. Lo and behold, several hours later, another concerned vendor remembered seeing the Djembe and it's current unauthorized owner the night before. Within minutes the drum came home and thanks to Michelle, "The case of the Missing Drum of Schwagstock 21" was solved. The coolest part is nobody involved was interested in the reward, but only wanted the cosmic energy to return back to it's original state of exsistance.
