My candle burns at both its ends; It will not last the night; But oh, my foes, and oh, my friends - It gives a lovely light. To fill the hour - - I want a busy life, a just mind, and a timely death. - that is happiness |
Just after my graduation from IIT Kharagpur, I was opened for "The perpetual ignorance". I was starving for the new challenges to face the new face of life. With all my dreams to meet the world, I started my career as a "Computer Science Researcher" for a startup company at Kolkata - Avisere. I decided to join Avisere because I didn't want to be like all other Software Engineers working for big reputed organizations or companies. I didn't want to be in the monotonous rat race of the software industry. I had my own dream to change things.Avisere gave me the opportunities to do so. We, being among the pioneer employee of Avisere, worked on new innovative products related to 'Computer Vision'. I will be ever grateful to Dr. Tinku Acharya (MD, Avisere) for giving me the wonderful opportunity to know the crux of a |
|                 start-up product company. It was a lifetime experience for me and I have learned many new technologies under his guidance. After a year, we had our first customer, (hooray we broke the J-Curve trends of 5-6 years). I was a "Sr. Computer Science Engineer" then. I was facing challenges everyday and everywhere. And now I was matured enough in the software world but, my everlasting crave for new challenges got intensified and I decided to taste the flavor of a Service Company and thus I decided to join Persistent Systems Pvt. Ltd. I am very grateful to Dr. Acharya for supporting my career decision whole-heartedly. I joined Persistent as 'Member of Technical Staff'. After joining Persitent and working here till now I know, the differences of a Product vs Service company, I know the differences between a Startup vs Established company. Working at Persitent I came to know about various new trends. I have learned many new technologies and experienced the processes involved in 'Software Engineering'. My manger Mr. Vidyadhar Nirantar gave me the opportunity to take the ownership of various components of our project and get involved into 'Client Interaction', 'Requirement Collection', 'Design Process', 'Development Process' and finally 'Testing and Bug fixing Process'. I got the experience of a complete Software Lifecycle. I may now say that I am truly matured as a 'Software Engineer' and ready to pursue my dreams further. . . |
