ACADEMICS
Kappa Delta Chi - Psi Chapter upholds the high academic standards that makes KD Chi the prestigous organization that it is. Academics should and always will come first and KD Chi stresses to its members just how important it is and reminds its members never to lose sight of their goals.

New members must already have at least 12 hours of college credit with at a  minimum of a 2.5 GPA required both by St. Mary's University and KD Chi to pledge.

Each new member must have at least 10 study hours a week and actives are required to have 5 study hours a week and both are checked on a regular basis. Study hours can be completed both on an individual or group basis.

Study Hours Session:    Mondays from 7 to 8 p.m. on the first floor in the                                                  Blume Academic Library

If any of the sisters are having difficulties with any of their subjects they can always rely on the help of their other sisters to tutor them during these study hour sessions.

Actives must also be registered at their university at full time status (12 hours or more) and maintain the GPA of 2.5 throughout their active membership in Kappa Delta Chi.

Some other benefits we provide to our members is a test bank that our academic chair keeps up to date. We also put on various academic workshops throughout the semester. Some workshops we have done in the past are:

Co-sponsoring a Stress Busters Workshop with Psi Chi in which we helped students out with study tips and other suggestions right before finals week.

If you have any suggestions on an academic workshop or would like us to help out with any academic program during the school year please contact our academic chair Amanda Salinas at
[email protected] and she will be glad to assist you in any way possible.
