riptangle

Latest Version: riptangle_2002-10-24.tar.gz (15.3K)

riptangle is a quick hack written in perl to extract a readable Pascal program from a WEB source file. The objective is not to produce compilable Pascal code, but a listing for reading. In order to output compilable code, a little bit more work would be required. Since it is written in perl, changes can be made quickly and easily so you can produce the output you require in a short time.

riptangle is by no means complete. It is not a substitute for web2c. This script chokes a bit even on TANGLE.WEB. Many of the functionality of TANGLE is missing. For example, definitions are not substituted since the code is more readable with the defines in place. If you want to expand the macros, more work need to be done.
