Boat Storage
I store my boats from the ceiling of my garage with a block and tackle system that cost about $50 to put together.
One end of the rope is tied off to an eyebolt mounted in a 50# sheetrock anchor. The rope runs down through a block and back up through a micro block. The rope continues along the ceiling to another micro block and down to another block, back up to another micro block and is then tied off to a 6" cleat. The system can easily lift the boat to the ceiling and makes a nice way to work on the boat at waist level when necessary. I sewed a loop from some 1" webbing I had left over from my car rack to insert around the boat at each end. |
