Steam Bending

Twisting a piece of 5/16" thick hardwood to demonstrate the pliability of fresh-steamed wood.
Eastern Ash , bends nicely when soaked for a week
and then steamed for ten minutes. This stock was kiln-dried, which does
bend well, contrary to popular belief. . . soaking is key, however
