Islamists in Pakistan Strike
back!
The moment Pakistan's military
President General Musharraf reported to his countrymen in the aftermath
of September 11 terrorists attack in New York and Washington D.C. that
he will allow Americans to use Pakistani soil to attack Afghanistan to
capture Osama bin Laden, the radical Muslims belonging to Jamaat-e-Islami,
Jamait-e-Ulema, and many more ultra-religious political parties took to
the streets. They burned effigies of both President Bush and General
Musharraf. Quite a few Mullahs from various parts of the world have
gave Fatwas (religious edict) branding him a Murtaad (apostate).
The following photos taken from mainstream media in the 3rd week of September
2001 clearly show that Mullahs will create problem for the military government
of Pervez Musharraf. This upcoming confrontation between the radical
Mullahs and the government will do some good for Pakistan -- the country
which had gone strayed much too much towards the path of Islam.

took part in rallies throughout Pakistan, supporting Osama bin Laden and
calling for a Jihad (holy war) against the U.S. if attacks on Afghanistan
start.

The future of General Musharraf is very uncertain. Much remains to
be seen how the drama unfolds in the next few months.
