SINGAPORE 2002
Andrew Gee, Bevan Mayo, Kim Beale, Shane Major, Andrew Lind, Kristen Black and Julian Pope (kneeling) at Auckland International Airport prior to Kiwi Crusaders 2002 soccer mission to Singapore.
The Kiwi Crusaders (red) and some of the guys at the soccer camp.  2 days of coaching, games and sharing the love of Jesus with about 20 boys.  It doesn't get any better.
Listening as Andrew explains the next phase in the technique station.  Amongst the group were some good players and some who needed work.  They were very good at taking part in very hot temperatures.
It's goodbye from the boys at camp.
Turn and move, with the left, then the right.  Just at Cruyff famously did.  The boys demonstrate different techniques of turning.
The Kiwi Crusaders (with some Singaporean imports) and boys from Henderson School.  The giant goalkeeper in yellow was an American basketball player who kindly stood between the posts for us.  We beat the first XI 7-2 and the juniors 5-2.
You're not allowed to share the gospel in the schools, but these boys need to hear.  An opportune moment as the boys listen intently as Kim shares straight from the cross of Christ.
And then it's back to the coaching fields.  These boys are learning fast.
Bevan shares about who SoccerPlus NZ is and why they're in their country.  Every chance to talk about Jesus.
Game time.  Henderson in white are very aware of the predatory skills of Bevan who scored 6 of the 7 goals.
