100th Day of School Celebration

We have been busy counting the days of school this year.  Our calendar activities include tallying the number of days, counting links by fives, adding money to our piggy bank, and adding a number to the adding machine tape then marking it even or odd. 

 Every 10th day of school we are visited by a Zero the Hero puppet to celebrate the number zero.  

Well...after all of our hard work the 100 day of school finally arrived on January 24, 2001. 

We made t-shirts with 100 thumbprints and created a 100 day project at home for our Hundreds Hall of Fame!

We wrote our own pocket chart poem for the 100 day of school!

WOW! What a surprise! The real Zero the Hero man visited our class! We told him that we have a puppet of him that we see every 10th day of school.

Zero the Hero man saved the day! He brought our zero cookies so we could finish our 100 day celebration with a stick cookie and 2 circle cookies!
