KISMET KHULI
FUSION rock band KISMET is all set to release its first single titled 9/11 today. I've listened to the song a few times and I think it rocks. Surprisingly the song is more metal as it kick starts with a heavy distortion guitar riff. What's different is the excellent percussions that fill in after 8 bars as the band dives on into the song with a rumbling bass and drums.
Musically 9/11 is a great composition. Kismet performed at the launch of Groove Magazine and i have come to expect the complex scales and rythms for a band that comprises of excellent musicians.
Kismet was formed about a year ago and comprises of Vijayan(lead guitar, singer,songwriter),Vinu(bass),Alex(drums),Sathish(ethnic percussions) and Floyd on the Keyboards.
Besides the single 9/11 the band plans on releasing a full album comprising of 9 original songs shortly.
Kismet leader Vijayan also hope that the band will be touring a lot all over India and across the world in the future.
"We believe in carrying out our social responsibility and would love to play for charity events and raise money and awareness for worthy causes" says Vijayan
