Cape Girardeau County Photos

Here are some interesting photos from Cape Girardeau County.  Be patient this page takes a while to load.

Here is a photo of the Bollinger Mill.  It was burnt down during the Civil War and rebuilt after the war.

Here is a side view of the Bollinger Mill.

This is the covered bridge beside the mill.

There are only three remaining covered bridges left in the state of Missouri.

This is a side view of the covered bridge.

This is the shot looking down through the bridge.

This is New McKendree Church.  It was the first Protestant Church west of the Mississippi River.

The first preacher's home still exists to this day.  Here is a shot of that old log home.

The city of Jackson is fortunate to have a couple of different murals. This is the most recent.

The courthouse is Jackson is the county seat of Cape County.

Beside the courthouse is the World War One Memorial.

It celebrates the Veterans from Jackson who served in World War I.
