Dragon Inn is a supposed remake of an early classic directed in 1966. Over
all a great viewing experience. Once you get past the first dull moments
of the film you have a surreal breathtaking movie to look forward to.
After the first say 15-20 minutes, it takes a drastic turn when
they reach the Dragon Inn. This is when things really get interesting.
Although Brigitte Lin is the so-called star of this movie, I think
Maggie Cheung brought more to the table than the other actors. She is
almost the centerpiece of the whole movie since she is the owner of the
Dragon Inn. The action is also entertaining. Even though there isn't a
great deal of fight scenes, the final battle (featuring Donnie Yen) is
amazing. A great movie filled with emotion, style and action. A must
see film for all swordplay fans.

An evil eunuch (Donnie Yen) uses the children of an executed enemy as
bait to draw out a group of rebels. The plan works, but the rebels are
able to safely retrieve the children. The rebels look for a safe haven
and end up at the Dragon Inn.
During their stay they ask for help from the owner, but unknown to them she
is also working with the enemy. Jade helps both, but is obviously most
concerned with her inn. At first the inn seems like a safe place,
but as time progresses they find out that the inn could very well be
the place they all die.
In a whirlwind of love, death and betrayal the movie finally ends up
with a decisive battle to wipe out the evil eunuch.
