A pretty good movie considering the price I bought it for. Eastern Condors is a war
movie starring Sammo Hung (Enter the Dragon), Yuen Baio (Once Upon a
Time in China), and even has a cameo appearance by Yuen Wo Ping. The
movie is sort of a chinese Dirty Dozen. The action is good and the
story is all right. Not a terrific movie but it's not boring either. If
you have the movie, check out the scene when Sammo jumps off a hill
onto a truck. I hear he was badly injured during that shot, and seeing
how high it was I can't see how he could have thought anything else
would have happened. I was able to pick a remastered version for only
$5. If you can find it for that price, pick it up. It's worth it. I
wouldn't pay over $10 for this movie though.

The US Pentagon sends a group of Chinese prisoners as decoys for a
secret mission to destroy a munitions dump the US army left in
Vietnam when it pulled out. When a plane carrying the actual commandos
crashes, Hung and Yuen lead the unsuspecting criminals on the mission
of their lives. They get caught up with gorgeous Vietcong rebels,
meet a cruel and giggly general and get tortured within an inch of
their lives. In the end, most of the prisoner are killed, but they
were able to destroy the dump and kill the evil general.
