Not one of Donnie Yen's best films. One thing good about the movie was
the fight scenes. The whole drug theme just didn't work for me, even
though it was interesting seeing Donnie toking on a opium pipe. And
what the hell is up with that annoying bucktooth chick. She almost
single handidly ruined the movie. I thanked God when she finally shut
the hell up. All in all not that great of a movie, but not bad either.
It's worth watching, but not for the $20 price tag I had to purchase
it for. If you're a fan of Donnie there is no doubt you'll love this movie,
but even if you're not there are some aspects of Fist of the Red Dragon
that are enjoyable. Just not the story, or that annoying buck tooth
lady.
