Another Year


Another year has come and gone,
time to sing a new song.
The old one has made memories to last,
they are long gone and a part of the past.

But, I will love and cherish them always,
the caring and sharing of our blessed days.
Days filled with laughter and a few tears,
with loved ones that we hold so dear.

Holidays spent at Mom and Dad's,
moments in time that are never sad.
Little treasures your heart locks away,
your memory reflects on some rainy day.

So many we've lost and so many new births,
a simple balance between heaven and earth.
Time has its dates and its numbers,
but life has its beautiful wonders.

So no matter how my time may have been spent,
I hope that my family knows what their love has meant.
