What is this?
Many years ago, when this was hosted on geocities.com, it was a simple site where I held some links of interest that I could hit with my mobile device. When geocities went away, the page hosted one last static image with some goodbye messages. I suppose it should have been expected that someone would try to save those pages, but at the time no one was sure.
This page is now hosted on geocities.ws (obviously!) They're one of the many entities that tried to save as much as they could. I claimed my old page by validating with my Yahoo! email address (long since closed because of spam,) and here you are! If you had a geocties page, I believe you can still claim it by validating your ownership somehow...
My main site is wereboar.com
This site is now a placeholder for one of my old domains that I don't want to get rid of, and also offers a place where those who know me by the Yahoo! name can find me. (I used that name for a long, long time - almost 20 years.) I do all of my work on wereboar.com, I consider that to be my main page these days.
You can choose one of the links at the top to go to my main page. Wereboar is the top level, there's really not much there except a landing page. Projects is "Projects from the Bottom Drawer," a blog about hamfests and the things I see there, things I'm working with, general things of technological interest, and a few rambling posts about life in the tech world. Good Eats is a small collection of recipes I like. Recruiter Tales is a collection of stories from years of dealing with employment recruiters - all the names have been changed to protect the guilty! Gallery is a quick image preview of things on Projects that you can view without leaving this site, and contact will lead you to my LinkedIn page.
Trot on over to wereboar.com. We have lots of pictures of electronics junk. It's all the fun of collecting with none of the funny smells, taking up space, or angry looks from your wife. As mentioned, if you'd like to see what kind of things I post on there before you visit, click the Gallery link.
Why the odd name?
Many years ago, I worked for GE Appliances. We had a system called TPS2 (Yep, that TPS! Did you get the memo about the cover sheet?) My user ID at the time was l057738, and it stuck with me over the years. It used to be a Yahoo! email address, but that has been long since been closed. If you'd like to talk to me, Mastodon is the best way to do it. You can also use LinkedIn, but it's not as accessible to the general public.
Anything else?
You might like to know this page was created July 2024, and replaced a "I don't know what to do with this little bit of space" page. If you knew me by another name, there's also a geocities.ws page with that name, check it out!
