Jonathan took an oath of fidelity in 1 Oct 1641 in New Haven. He was in
Saybrook in 1646 and Hartford in 1651 where he was admitted freeman. He and
Mary were married in the winter of 1647 by John Winthrop. He was an assistant
to Capt. Mason at Fort in 1652 and left in charge. He was appointed leather
sealer of Saybrook in 1656. He is usually found as Lieutenant Jonathan Rudd.
Mary is the bride in "Bride's Brook". She was married by John Winthrop during
the winter of 1647 - see account of wedding in Bingham book, p. 171. She is
sometimes named as MARY BIRCHARD, daughter of Thomas Birchard (1595-1683/83
and MARY ROBINSON (1596-1729/30.)

"Rainbow", was of Saybrook in 1638 and one of the original settlers of Norwich
cir 1660. He was freeman in 1663 and came with his sons, William and Stephen
in 1637 to Saybrook.

1640. Edward may have had a son Jonas who married Joan Strickland (Virkus II -
p.218 and IV p. 139).
Ruth joined the church in Charleston, MA in 1640. New discoveries seem to
show that this was not Ruth Mousall but an unidentified Ruth (Lee?)
1642. WILLIAM HUNT was born 1605. He died Oct 1667. WILLIAM married ELIZABETH BEST in England.
William was made freeman in Concord, MA 2 Jun 1641; moved to Marlboro. His
will names daughter Elizabeth Barnes. William and Elizabeth were married in
England and had several of their children there.
