~Why Breed Rabbits?~
Why do we breed rabbits? It's not just because they're incomprehensibly cute!

Rabbits can be bred for multiple reasons. One of the most widespread reasons is to breed them for meat. Rabbit meat is full of nurtients and tastes good, and there can pretty much be an endless supply of offspring! Some rabbits are mainly bred for this purpose, such as the New Zealand.
Another reason to breed rabbits is for competition and company. These rabbits are selectively bred for physical features and for temperament. Rabbits that are very popular in shows are Netherland Dwarfs, Dutch Rabbits, and Mini Rexes. There are other rabbits not bred solely for meat that are rare in rabbit shows, but are frequently sold as pets.
A final reason to breed rabbits is for commercial fur. Angoras are the most popular candidates for this.
Angoras have long, thick fur that is called wool. People clip or shear the wool off the rabbit and use it as thread. From it, you can produce many articles of clothing. The French Angora is used mostly for this purpose. The Angoras are said to have first originated in Turkey.
Additionally, rabbits produce alot of maneur, and when paired with biodegradable litter the resulting outcome is a fertilizer force so powerful, it threatens to cause profits for farms or plant stores to boom, and to cause an explosion in plant growth.

And that is why people make money by breeding rabbits.
