Venus

Venus was named after the Roman goddess of love and fertility (Greek counterpart: Aphrodite). She was the mother of eros (Greek counterpart Cupid). Venus was considered the most beautiful of the goddesses. Although beautiful to look at, Venus is an inhospitable planet. The atmosphere is comprised of sulfuric acid. Sulfuric acid is one of the strongest acids known to man and is capable of turning bones to mush. The surface temperature hovers at about 900° Farenheit with winds blowing at 100s of miles per hour. In other words, hot enough to bake you to a crisp in a matter of seconds with stronger winds than a tornado blowing around. Venus is one of the brightest objects in the sky, it has a diameter of 7200 miles. Venus has no moons.
