- a house elf needs clothes to be set free but Ron says that Mrs. Weasley would like to have one to do the ironing.
- after blocking the gateway to platform 9 3/4 Dobby had to iron his hands. When he saw Harry in the infirmary it was November and his hands were still bandaged. Unless house elves heal exceptionally slowly his hands should not still have been bandaged nearly 3 months later
- it is mentioned that Tom Riddle's shield is burnished gold. Gold doesn't tarnish, it never loses its shine so Ron wouldn't have had to polish it

File it under E for everything...
- when taunting Dudley (before the Mason's come over) Harry says some nonsense words to scare Dudley, among those words is 'jiggery pokery' which means, slangily, trickery or underhanded. 'Hocus Pocus' of course is a common term used by muggle magicians and 'squiggly wiggly' well just sounds cool.
- When everyone is examining Mrs. Norris Harry notes that Snape appeared to by "trying not to smile" Makes ya wonder why
- would Hermione, who deifies books, really tear out the page about the basilisk?
- when Dobby 'cracks' he disappears. Is this the same as apparating? If so why can he do it in the school?
