What's it like and where is it?
The Church now known as Langford Evangelical Church was first called Langford Chapel. It was built in 1846, so we celebrated 160 years in 2006. Later, it became part of the former Congregational Union of England and Wales, so it was known as Langford Congregational Church. When it became an independent church again around 1970, the present name of Langford Evangelical Church was adopted. Strictly speaking, "church" really means the people and "chapel" is the place they meet in but most people use "church" for both today.

You can find us easily - Lower Langford is just off the A38, three miles south of Bristol Airport. We are in the lane called Blackmoor, which is opposite Lower Langford Post Office. (This is the lane that leads to Wrington.) There is a sign "Langford Chapel" pointing down the lane; we are just a little way down on the left. (Just click on the link below to go straight to the Multimap page - the red circle marks the village centre.)

A new extension provides accessible facilities; we also have a loop system for those with hearing difficulties. Any assistance needed will be gladly given. We have gained a reputation for being a friendly and welcoming Church.
