Gives Lara handsfree, wirefree communication on the move The Bluetooth Headset is one of the innovations Ericsson has been heavily promoting, and it features prominently in the Tomb Raider movie. Lara uses the headset to stay in constant handsfree and wirefree contact with her tech support Bryce, who's based back at Croft Manor. It looks a lot better than the usual 'cable sprouting from ear' style handsfree kit too. Bluetooth is a new technology that allows devices to talk to one another over short distances without the need for wires between them. It's still in its infancy, but more and more devices with Bluetooth capabilities should be arriving in the shops over the next 18 months. Eventually trailing wires should be almost eliminated on everything from mobile phones to personal stereos to computers. Ericsson's Bluetooth headset works with most Ericsson mobile phones provided they have a Bluetooth phone adaptor attached. As Bluetooth takes off, Bluetooth capabilities should be included in forthcoming mobile phones as standard. You don't have to be Lara Croft to own one either - the Bluetooth headset is already available to buy. |
