LUNA MOTH

Luna moths are insects.  The Luna Moth is in the Phylum Arthropoda.  Summarily we will discuss the food, descriptions and habitat of the Luna Moth.
What do Luna Moths eat?  Luna caterpillars favorite trees are, sweet -gum, walnut and persimmon.  Adult Luna Moths dont have mouths so they dont eat ; they do all their eating in larva stage.
Luna Moths are beautifully adorned.  They are known for their yellow -green colors and long tails.  Characteristically the Luna Moth has a pinkish edge on its forewings and a brown head.  Its wing span is 5-10 inches.  The larva or caterpillar is 3.5 inches long.
The habitat of the Luna Moth is limited.  Their habitat is in the eastern United States from Maine to Florida.  Their habitat consists of many trees.  These are some of the common plants they live in: ash, oak, pin oak, willow, elm, apple, plum and cherry.
As you can see through the  food, descriptions and habitat, the Luna Moth is very interesting.  My opinion on the Luna Moth is that it is naturally beautiful.

LARVA STAGE

Each Luna Moth starts out as a caterpillar.
PUPA STAGE

It then starts to spin a sticky thread, which it wraps around its body.
It emerges from its cocoon, by secreting a special juice which softens the cocoon.
The moth slowly pumps fluid from its body into its wings.
