Jackalyn Lady of Gondor |
This costume is for my 9 year old cousin, Jacky. It's in a royal velvet panne with silver organza accents. I drafted the bodice from a sleeveless tank patter, and the sleeves are drafted from another pattern. I drafted the skirt, and just gathered it on the two sides, and a big gather in the back. The fabric has a nice heavy drape to it, so it looks pretty good. I beaded the belt and the armbands with silver and sky blue bugles, and they looked pretty cute - very Gondorian! I used the silver organza here, and backed it with white iron-on interfacing so it came out more bright silver than steel silver. She loved this costume, and I was more than happy with it. |
