Colchester United F.C., Layer Road Ground, Colchester, Essex. CO2 7JJ. Tel (1206) 508800 By CarTake A627(M) to junction with M62. At roundabout take 3rd exit (sign posted Leeds). Follow M62 for 44 miles and at Junction 33 with A1. Leave motorway and at roundabout take 4th exit A1(s). Follow A1/A1(m) south for 108.6 miles to junction with A604. Branch left to join A604 and in 3.6 miles straight on to join A14 at junction of A604/A14/A141. In 13.4 miles at junction with M11 take right hand lane join M11. In 29.3 miles leave M11 at junction 8 with A120 and take 2nd exit off roundabout to join A120 (sign posted Colchester). In 28 miles at junction with A12 take 2nd exit then left hand lane and branch left to join A12. Along A12 for 2 miles to Cambridge turn off (A1124 - formerly A604). At top of slip road turn right, go over A12 and continue along Essex Yeomanry Way, left at Roundabout into London Road. Continue for just over 1 mile to traffic lights (MFI on your right). Turn right into Straight Road and continue, about 1 mile, to end of road, Leather Bottle PH on left Turn left into Shrub End Road. Continue on Shrub End Road for about 3/4 mile until you see traffic lights ahead.
Parking difficult closer to ground so I suggest parking in Shrub End Road as its much easier to get away after the game.
10 to 15 mins walk from here - continue straight ahead past traffic lights and at next traffic lights bear right into Drury Road, turn right into Wavell Ave. and then left into Gladwin Road, turn right into Layer Road, ground 200 yards.

Nearest Station: COLCHESTER
On arrival at Colchester station catch a bus from outside the entrance if one is waiting or walk to the foot of the Station Approach, turn right and cross the road to bus stop, buses every 3 to 4 minutes or walk to Town Centre (3/4 mile). Go to High Street, fare 65p. If you get an Eastern National bus get a Town Ranger ticket £1.50 to use on any Eastern National bus that day. Get off the bus at the first stop in the High Street. Go back to the top of North Hill, cross road, turn left and go along Head Street (Post Office on your right, get bus back to station from here) to Headgate. Turn right and board Eastern National bus Service 64 or 64A (Shrub End/St Michael's/Layer) from stop just past Odeon Cinema. Fare 65p. Every 6/7 minutes daytime, evenings at 1811 1828, 1844, 1911 or at 1941 which will get you to the ground just as we go one up in the second minute. If you are walking to the ground (1 mile) instead of turning into Crouch St, continue straight ahead, passing under Southway by subway. Continue along Butt Road until you reach the Drury Hotel. Turn left into Layer Road.
If your train is going to Colchester Town get off there. Turn right outside station walk to light controlled crossing, cross and board bus to football ground at stop outside the bingo hall in Osborne Street.
