Take A627(M) to junction with M62. At roundabout take 1st exit (sign posted Liverpool). At Junction 14 with M61 take left hand lanes (sign posted Preston). After 20 miles join M6 north. Follow M6/A74/A74M and M74 north for 170 miles to  Junction 13 (Abington Services) leave motorway and take 4th exit off roundabout and at ensuing roundabout take 2nd exit to join A702. In 1 mile at junction with A73 branch right to join A73.
