The fuzzy logic controller
implemented in the project was
built by writing dedicated
software. The controller received
input information from
transducers via data acquisition
hardware installed in a PC. The
output from the controller
activated external devices
through the serial port of the
PC. The inputs of the controller
were parameters related to the
operation of the Solar Hot Water
System (SHWS) and the output
of the controller was the signal
used to turn on or off the
electric booster of the SHWS.
