We are only 55 days away from our departure for
London. As the time approaches for our visit
to England, Scotland and Wales, we have gathered some preliminary information
here to help you begin your threefold travel experience:
Anticipation,
Realization and Remembrance.
During this ANTICIPATION
phase, we will try to prepare you for the excitement which lies ahead. Below we have listed your travel companions,
our airline schedules, details concerning our pre-trip orientation meeting and
other information…
GROUP
PROFILE : Who we are and where we’re from!
Our group consists of 28 people. Most are from South Jersey, flying out of
Newark Airport. However, the Eberleins
(Linda is Carolyn Mazzilli’s sister) are from Rochester Hills, Michigan, and
Judith Laufer (Joe Laufer’s cousin) is
from San Antonio, Texas. They will join
us in London. Carol Hackler (Gladys Lord’s sister-in-law) is from
Virginia, but will be joining us in New Jersey before departure.
In addition, our group will be “completed” by
pairing with 16 individuals from a travel club in Manchester, Ocean County,
NJ.

Air/Land Waiver vs.
Medical & Baggage Insurance
All
of you purchased the land/air waiver which insures a full refund if you have to
cancel for any reason before departure.
At our meeting on October 23, Collette’s Ron Fenska will have
application forms for Accident, Medical and Baggage insurance while on
tour. The cost is $47 and it is
optional. No need to do anything in
advance, but the insurance package will be explained and forms provided on
October 23. You will mail the forms and
remittance directly to Collette.
Those leaving from Newark International Airport will be provided with ground transportation to the airport via coach from Vincentown. The bus will leave from the Vincentown Fire House on Race Street at approximately 3:00 pm (exact time to be confirmed during first week of November). Long term parking is available at the Laufer residence on Smith Court, a short walk from the Fire House, or you may opt to be dropped off at the Fire House. Those leaving from Detroit or San Antonio will have to find their way to the airport on their own. Sorry — but Collette requires a minimum of ten for hometown pickup.

I have scheduled a pre-trip
orientation meeting for Wednesday, October 23, 2002. The meeting is scheduled for 7:00 pm. Ron Fenska of Collette Vacations will be there
to distribute documents, answer your questions and to share information about
our tour. I will also have some
materials that will help you to prepare for the many activities planned for
this exciting trip. I am negotiating
for a location either in Mt. Laurel,
just off Rt. 295, or in Eastampton near
Exit 5 of the Turnpike. I will advise
you of the location well in advance.
This meeting is optional, but it
is strongly recommended that you make every effort to attend. If you are unable to make it, we will send
you the material that is distributed, including passport holders and bags.
Despite the fact that the Euro
has been introduced to most countries in the European Union, Britain has
resisted the change of currency and continues to use the Pound Sterling. As has been our practice, we will assist you
in obtaining a supply of British currency in advance of our trip. Those wishing to obtain British Currency may
send a check to Joe Laufer in increments of $50 only, up to $200 per person. At
the October 23 orientation meeting, your British currency will be
distributed. Checks must be received by
October 1.
Please take a look at your passport TODAY to make sure
that it does not expire before the end of 2002. If it does, initiate the renewal process
