KUDOS TO THE EDITOR OF

HALLEY’S COMET WATCH NEWSLETTER

By Dr. Alice C. Kinninger

With this issue marking the finale of Joseph Laufer’s fine NEWSLETTER

We wish to pay him a tribute... for nowhere was reading better!

His publication and related efforts have added so much…

Just the right touch

In our lives, for enjoying Halley’s Comet.

Heaven’s celestial sight!

Halley’s orbit…we so enjoyed it…even though it was not bright.

Mr. Laufer’s HCW NEWSLETTERs (and related activities), with this issue

Are (as is Halley) “orbiting and fading away”.

May many (now young) folks, having been inspired by Mr. Laufer’s efforts,

Read about and see *Halley yet another day.

However, they’ll have to wait for 2061

In order to have a repeat of all our fun.

But that day will be here before they know it…

And to their grandchildren, may they sho *it!

We hope that yet another “Joseph Laufer” will appear,

At whose feet those grandchildren may sit and cheer

As they read current NEWSLETTERs, participating in wonder and sight

Of 2061s apparition of Halley’s Comet…

MAY IT BE BRILLIANT AND BRIGHT!

APPRECIATION, I say!

Dr. K.
