Number 3 - January 28, 1998 ----- 50 days and counting...

REVERSED ITINERARY

Originally planned to begin in Madrid and end in Lisbon, our itinerary has been reversed in order to allow us to have access to better flight arrangements. Here is the revised itinerary:

Day 1 - Thursday, March 19
Overnight flight to Portugal

Day 2 - Friday, March 20
Arrival in Lisbon. Hotel check-in; free time for exploring.

Day 3 - Saturday, March 21
Lisbon: Guided sightseeing of Lisbon: Moorish Alfama district, Castelo de Sao Jorge, Royal Coach Museum; Visit to Mosterio dos Jeronimos; Optional Fado evening.

Day 4 - Sunday, March 22
Transfer via motorcoach from Lisbon, via Elvas (where we'll visit the 5-mile long aqueduct) and arrive in Seville, capital of Andalusia.

Day 5 - Monday, March 23
Seville - Guided sightseeing of Seville (Barrio de Santa Cruz; The Moorish Alcazar); Visit to Seville's cathedral (3rd largest in the world); EF walking tour; Optional Flamenco Evening.

Day 6 - Tuesday, March 24
Transfer via motorcoach from Seville, via Cordoba (where we'll visit the 8th century Mozquita, the largest mosque west of Mecca) and travel through Puerto Lapice (where we'll have a lunch stop), arriving for dinner in Madrid, Europe's highest capital. We'll even have time for an EF walking tour today from Puerta del Sol to Plaza Mayor.

Day 7 - Wednesday, March 25
Madrid - Guided sightseeing; Visit to the Prado Museum; Guided excursion to Toledo.

Day 8 - Thursday, March 26
Madrid - Optional excursion to El Escorial, the Valley of the Fallen, and Segovia. (or, free day to explore Madrid).

Day 9 - Friday, March 27
Return home.
