Normal degrafting |
Grafted cactus on a non-permanent stock has to
be degrafted someday. I use hylocereus as a grafting stock quite often.
Hylocereus is fit well Ariocurpus and gives a very good growing. Since
Hylocereus is not a permanent stock, I use the following degrafting
method. |
1. 2 years olds Ariocurpus retusus, around 10cm diameter |
2.1 Breaking off at joint by hand. This is the stock side. |
2.2 Scion side. A large cavity on joint part. |
3. Fill in rooting powder in the cavity. |
4. Dried around 2 weeks |
4. Pot for rooting, I use clay base cat litter on top. |
5. Fill in wet cat litter in the cavity. |
6. Set cactus in pot |
7. Put a sheet of tissue on top of the cactus, wait rooting |
8. Rooted completely |
