Indon soldier jailed for bomb
attacks in Maluku islands
An Indonesian soldier has been
jailed for three and a half years for his role in several bomb
attacks targetting Christians in the Maluku islands.
A military spokesman said Chief Private Hanafi was convicted by a
military tribunal in the city of Ambon on Tuesday.
28-year-old Chief Private Hanafi was convicted by a military
tribunal in Ambon and was also discharged from the military.
Maluku was the scene of bloody Muslim-Christian battles over the
past three years which claimed more than five thousand lives.
